Cream Eyeshadows: Etude House Petite Darling Eyes & Pudding Dia Review

It's hard not to love a brand that has great products, lovely packaging, and such affordable prices, and when I saw that Etude House had cream eyeshadows, I just knew I had to give them a try. Cheaper cream eyeshadows have been known to crease rather badly, and I'm guessing that whatever chemicals the higher end brands pour into their mixes to make them budge-proof are quite pricey.

Petite Darling Eyes - Cream Eyeshadow - P148

Etude House's Petite Darling Eyes cream eyeshadows are quite lovely as bases, but I am sad to inform my readers that it does, in fact, crease when used without primer. Since I only use cream eyeshadows because I want to skip the primer step, I don't have much use for these. They only come in four shades, three of which I bought and are swatched below:

The fourth color is a silvery gray, and given the range of colors, I don't see much use of these beyond your typical bases. Still, it's a mere Php148, so it's quite hard to complain too much. ;)

If you're really looking for a non-powder shadow and don't want to spring P1,000++ on one of the higher end cream eyeshadows, I would suggest trying out Etude's Pudding Dia Shadow. It's a gel-based transluscent eyeshadow so it's not really a cream eyeshadow, but I just felt the need to mention it because it's such a great option.

Pudding Dia Shadow- P398

Definitely pricier than Petite Darling Eyes, but far better in terms of staying power. This stayed on my lids for the better part of the work day, and after 8+ hours, only a few bits of glitter had migrated to my undereye area. I'm really happy with its performance for the price, and I'm happy to report that it comes in a wide range of colors (though all pastel and glittery).

Isn't it lovely?

I personally want to go back for the blue, gold, and purple shades of the Pudding Dia Shadow; it's such a bargain... Interested readers can check out their list of branches (there are a lot, now!), over at their website here: http://www.etudehouse.ph/

Stay beautiful, ladies~!

I love glitters, especially when they are a bit subtle like that!

Hi Lizz
I recently got a cream eyeshadow from TBS and I am having a hard time applying it with a brush. Do you use your finger in applying the shadow on your lids?

Zhu- Me too! I don't like them when they're too over the top, but I like them in small doses.

Vixen- Yes it does, haha. Try the puding dia? ;)

Sky- Aww, how come?

Mrs M- If it's hard to work with, yes use your pinky. Or you can try a stiff brush to apply it. :)

Capulet- They're so much fun! You should definitely try them out. :D
