Nail Glitters: Midnight Blue and Shades of Purple

Hello lovely ladies! It's been a busy couple of weeks for me... My lack of updates is due to my moving apartments, and I've been a busy bee making everything pretty. The good news is that I'm almost done and should be posting about my new place in a bit, but for now I'd like to share a little nail art post! :D

I'm seriously loving nail polishes with the glitter + metallic colors all mixed in, as it save me the step of painting on a glitter topcoat. I found this lovely midnight blue glitter metallic at The Face Shop, and I really loved how the sparkles looked when my nails were freshly painted. I even put on a topcoat to make it extra shiny, but alas... after a few days it looked significantly duller than when it was new. Oh well!

Here's my purple glitter/metallic from Etude House. Unlike TFS, this one stayed gorgeous and shiny for days after. I think this is a bit more expensive than TFS polish, but it's definitely worth it.

I do find that TFS has excellent nail stickers, and I stuck them to the base of each nail to make the design more interesting.

Here's a close-up of my thumb. I discovered that I can use my acrylic paints on my nails, so I painted a quick swirl pattern on my thumb to test it out. I was too lazy to do all the others, though, which is why the thumb is the only one with both swirl and sticker. :P

Etude House has another shade of purple, darker than the first, but it's actually much darker when you paint it on your nails. I prefer the lighter shade (as seen on my nails above) because you can really see the lovely purple color. :)

Both TFS and Etude House polishes are around Php100 (approx $2), with the Etude House polish maybe Php20 more expensive? Either way, I definitely prefer the Etude House polishes, as the shine lasts quite a bit longer.
