My Hair Story Continues: From Blond to Plum

I've been seriously hating my roots lately, but I haven't had time to actually get them fixed up at a salon. I'm not dumb enough to attempt bleaching/dyeing my own roots myself, as it's incredibly difficult to do blond if you're DIY'ing the process. While I still love my blond hair, I figured that I'm only going to get busier as the Christmas months come round, so I'd better try to do something that's lower maintenance.

HBC's Cellophane Creme in Plum

Regular price P400, but I got it at 50%

I contemplated doing red again (a color that I often go back to), but when I swung by HBC to get a box, I noticed their semi-permanent jars of PLUM dye at only Php400 each AND I got 50% off!). Oh yes, gorgeous, strange, mysterious, crazy purple. I've never gone purple before, and I figured that there's no time like the present! Since my hair has already been bleached, the saleslady assured me that the color would show up really brightly, and I had nothing to worry about.

It took me about an hour to get everything done (shampoo, plum cellophane, shampoo, dry), and I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the shade. It's very strange, and it'll take me a bit of getting used to, but so very, very worth it. :D

Here are some snaps of me with blond hair. Isn't it amazing what hair color can do? Blond was so suited to bright, cheerful makeup, and Plum is definitely going to be the opposite of that. The smokey eye looks good with everything, of course, but I daresay I'll have to table my bright green cream eyeshadows for now (I have no desire to look like an eggplant).

Then again, I may have to experiment some more before everything is said and done. I've never had plum hair before, and I'm definitely looking forward to rediscovering the colors at my disposal! :D
