Beauty Service Review: Glitz, House of Nails

As with most of you ladies, I enjoy the occasional pampering by getting my nails done. I'm always on the look out for a competent, affordable, nail technician, and while I usually go to Azta in Eastwood, the parlor is always pretty packed during the weekends.

So on a hot summer Saturday, I decided to try my luck at some of the other nail salons in the area. The other parlor didn't have a nail technician at all, and the hand and foot spa across from that was fully booked. I ended up going to Cybermall because I remembered that there was a new nail spa called Glitz, House of Nails (or was it House of Glitz Nails? lol) over there and possibly people wouldn't know about it yet. I was right. There was only one other person in the spacious place, and I happily went up to the counter and scored immediate service.

I actually had only intended to get a pedicure, (cheekily called "I'm in a Hurry" and inclusive of a Pedicure + Foot Spray, priced at Php170), but as I was leafing through the menu I got more and more intrigued. The "Glam Me Up Feet" treatment included a Soak + Exfoliation + Warm Wrap + Moisturizer + Pedicure (your choice of peppermint, lemograss, and vanilla mint), and it was only Php395. I figured, what the hell, and got the "Too Sexy For Stilettos Spa Pedicure" in the end, which was everything of the above plus a foot massage. My bill came up to Php465, and let me tell you-- it was so worth it.

The seats were so comfy, the nail technician was incredibly nice and polite (enough small talk to make you feel comfy, but not so much that you get annoyed), and my legs felt great!

I chose the peppermint line of treatments, and everything from start to finish was peppermint love. They bring the treatments to you in a lovely tray of 6 shot glasses filled with product, and you can watch as they apply each one to you. It felt so heavenly that I wanted to ask if I could buy some peppermint lotion to bring home. LOL.

All in all, I had an excellent time at Glitz. My full treatment lasted a little over an hour (maybe an hour and a half?), and I definitely plan on going back. They're still new as of now so you don't need an appointment, but I foresee great things in their future if they keep this up.

You can ring them up to make an appointment at: 232-6811 or 0927-278-4038. They're located at the 3rd level of the Eastwood Cyber & Fashion Mall (near Jollibee). Here are their full list of services:

Stay beautiful AND pampered, ladies~! ;)

Oh, this is something I can relate too! I discovered manicure and pedicures in Canada (France doesn't really have these kind of salons) and I love it. I treat myself to a pedicure once in a while and it's bliss...

I too love peppermint products, especially on the feet - it's invigorating, especially when you walk a lot and it's hot!

Wow! Thank you for blogging about this. :) I'm not all that kikay, but I do love pampering my feet. =D I normally go to Me and My Nails in Valero St., Makati (Right behind my office bldg), but the more awesome choices, the better right? Hehe.

Oh, if you happen to be in the Valero area, you might wanna try Me and My Nails too. The ambience isn't very swanky (it's kinda homey), but their service is pretty good. =)

Thanks for commenting, everyone! So far I've been to House of Nails twice now, and I'm definitely going back. Can't recommend their pedicure service enough, haha. (My nail technician, Vangie, was the best!)
