7 Days + 1 Pair of Gladiators: Finally Finished!

7 Outfits, 1 Pair of Glads

It took me weeks to finish this self-imposed fashion challenge, and by god, am I glad it's finally over! I know, I know-- a lot of the outfits I came up with were sort of a cop-out since I kept putting together black-and-white combos, but you can't really blame me since my closet is 75% black and white. :(

In any case, my last outfit was thankfully yellow because by this time I was scrabbling for colored clothing. I had previously rejected other outfits from my camera because they were (again) black and white.

Top: some tiny shop in Harajuku, Shorts: Greenhills Bazaar, Bag: Kate Spade New York, Necklace: Multiply, Audrey Hepburn Ring: Bijou De Lou

This was an outfit I threw together because the boy and I were going to watch a movie and I was determined to finally finish the fashion challenge. The photo was taken at the elevator bank of the building I live in (I wish I'd remembered to pose away from the garbage bin, sigh). I bought this top when I was still living in Japan, and it's one of the few that I can still wear. (The others are either too flashy, too loud, or have extremely offensive English words on them. "Super Hard Fuck" baby T, anyone?)

There's actually a huge cross on the back with the words "First Things First: GIRLS RULE" on the back, and it amuses me greatly.

If you want to take a look back at each individual outfit's details (i.e. where I bought it, where I wore it to), check out the "fashion challenge" tag.

If anyone wants to take up the challenge, (i.e. 1 pair of shoes + 7 different outfits), I highly recommend it! It was a great way to be really creative and not come up with the same outfit over and over again, and I learned a thing or two about the versatility of a very trendy pair of shoes. :)

Oh, wow! Can I hire you? For a French, I have a lame sense of fashion. I value practical stuffs and hate shopping, especially for shoes.
