Rainy days always make me somewhat sad, and today's gray skies and drizzly morning makes me wish I still had my 3-day pet Chewie around. I still remember how he'd sit in front of the air conditioning and stare at it like a weirdo (see above).
Am I ready to try owning a pet again? Maybe this time around I'll last more than a few days of it's endless barking before giving it to owners who are imminently more capable of taking care of pets. Or maybe I should just go straight to adult dogs, like so:

But then, where's all the fun in owning a fully-grown dog whose main concern is sleeping and shedding? Puppies are definitely cuter and more energetic:
Take us home, Lizzy!!But then, all I have to do is think about Chewie's endless yapping day in and day out, and then suddenly being lonely on a gloomy, quiet day doesn't seem so bad. According to this pet information site, excessive barking is actually symptomatic of something deeper. Separation anxiety, boredom, a reaction to an imaginary threat, stress, frustration etc. may all be causing your pet to bark. (My, don't these sound familiar? Apply them to any person and you've got a classic case of depression.)
My lease is ending on September, so hopefully I'll be able to move into a place with either a balcony or a tiny yard, and then maybe I'll consider getting a pet again. For now, I'll have to content myself with staring at puppy pictures and hugging my pillow on gray, lonely days.

Maybe you need a dog-shaped pillow :-P
JC- Or a cat. :D
Or a fish! Never makes noise! If I ever get a pet, I'll definitely take a fish. Or a snake.
Philos - I want a snake because it's low maintenance. But it's so expensive, haha.
Yeah right? I'd like a milk snake, I saw one in Singapore Zoo a few years back. It's pretty small, about 5 or 6 inches, and about half an inch thick only, I can bring it anywhere and show it off hehe
Philos - Sounds awesome! Exotic pets are great. :D
