I've been spending a lot of time over at Smart's MySandbox.com lately, and this is amusing because I'm really not the type to frequent social network sites. Currently at beta stage, Smart's My Sandbox is a social networking website that functions as an instant messaging service, marketplace, webring, personal blog, group forum, and much more-- all accessible via your mobile phone.Granted, your mobile has to be internet capable, 3G capable, and have a keypad that doesn't make you wade through 4 screens in order to get to the @ symbol, but I digress.
My few months of use on Sandbox has been rocky at times (accessing the internet via my mobile is choppy, but I blame the country), though mostly I've been pretty happy with the latest version.
Still, with all the friendsters and facebooks out there, one can't help but wonder what the use of having yet another social networking site is. I personally like the fact that Sandbox use is limited to local subscribers (though you don't need to be a Smart user to access it), and that the current community is relatively cosy.
With a ton of promos to mark its launch, I highly recommend joining this budding community. The boy and I are personally planning to launch a MySandbox sock puppet show, and I'm sure that's reason enough to sign up. ;)
(My user name's lizztrinity, by the way. Feel free to add me up.)

JC- Haha, me too! :D
Oh...another social networking site. I don't even like Facebook. And I didn't even bother to try it. :-P
I'm not fond of Facebook, but I've found that it's quite useful for getting work contacts!
