Recent walking stints have made me conscious of the following things:1) My shoes are fabulous.
2) None of them are comfortable.
3) I need new shoes.
As a purely aesthetic shopper, I've been trying to come up with a list of questions to ask myself when shopping for my next (and hopefully comfortable!) pair of shoes. The theory may or may not be sound, but if I applied this questions to any of my current shoes, not a single pair would pass muster.
1) Are they comfortable? Can I walk around in them for an hour and not get a blister?
2) How high are the heels? Are they below 2 inches?
3) Are they formal enough to be able to walk into a meeting without getting thrown out?
4) Are they casual enough to go to the grocery story in afterwards?
5) Are they sturdy enough to last daily use for more than a month?
I am amused at the fact that I may be searching for a mythical shoe, but it never hurts to try to hit at least 75% positives on my question list. Most of my shoes are supremely uncomfortable, glam, and have 3-inch heels, so they only hit about 1-2 of those points at best.
And now the search for the perfect shoe begins!

i wear flats mostly. no high heels. got also very low
baby- Yeah, I'm starting to see why that would be a good thing, lol. :D
No high heels for me too.
JC - Too bad. Would've been kinky. :D
I have the same problem, and I hate wearing flats (most of the time) because they make me feel frumpy. I feel your foot-type pain!
Although, having said that, the brown T-bar shoes I've been wearing to death lately are super-duper comfortable. And they have quite a substantial heel! I'm a little suspicious of them, actually. Kind of waiting for them to turn on me. Something so pretty and comfortable must have a dark secret.
Andrea - Agh, I simply must go thrifting more! I tend to shop at low-medium end stores and end up with exactly what I pay for, haha. If it's beautiful, it's uncomfortable, and the ones that are both tend to be out of my price range.
