Today saw me welcoming my brand-new little puppy Chewie (named after fearsome Star Wars wookie Chewbacca) home! He's only 8 weeks old and is currently little more than a ball of fur. :D Isn't he cute?
The owner was kind enough to give him a bath yesterday, so when I picked him up he smelled april fresh and lovely. Sigh. Of course, being the OC that I am, I had to give him another bath as soon as we got home (which he didn't like). I bought a special type of doggie shampoo that serves to moisturize hair as well as clean it, and he smelled great afterward. :D
He also refused to sleep in his bed (see above), and immediately curled up in the bottom rung of my shoe rack on top of JC's slippers. I couldn't figure out why he thought those therapeutic slippers (the ones with little bumps on them) was more comfy than the awesome bed I bought, and then I realized he was looking for a dark place because he wanted to nap. So I moved the nice bed under my dining table and turned off the lights on that side, and he immediately went to sleep.
Awesome!
Score one for Lizzy the dog trainer. :D Next up? How to put diapers on the little guy. Whew.
