Went to the California Pizza Kitchen "Make Your Own Pizza" event last September 10 at the CPK Green Belt 3 branch. We were late (because we watched the awesome, awesome Hellboy 2 omgwhatareyouwaitingforgowatchitnow), and thus were among the last seated. This meant we had no press kits (they ran out) and were last in line to make our own pizzas.
There was a pretty fun decorate-your-own-pizza-box contest that made the time pass a little quicker, and some of the entries were pretty raunchy (the theme was Pick-up lines). I had a lot of fun, and it *almost* made up for the fact that it took them more than two hours to get to us, plus another 10 minutes to actually cook the pizza that I made.
Still, it was a fun event and I blame my lack of decent pictures on the fact that I had no press kit. Boo. Oh, and the pizza I made was the Tostada, as described below:
TOSTADA
Southwestern black beans, sharp Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses topped with chilled shredded lettuce, fresh tomato salsa, green onions and crispy tortilla strips with our herb ranch dressing. Also available with grilled lime chicken.
Please note that I would never have ordered this on my own, and that I was very pleasantly surprised by its taste. I highly recommend this pizza to anyone who likes lots of cheese and veggies. :)
